Farmers can get information from sowing to post-harvest storage
The Indian Institute for Wheat and Barley Research (IIWBR), Karnal has developed an Android application named Wheat Doctor for information on wheat crop.
The Hindi language is used for information in this app so that the farming community can get maximum benefit.
It provides information about wheat diseases, insects, main diseases of any region, disease-resistant varieties of any region, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies and post-harvest storage.
Using this information, farmers can take better care of their crops and identify diseases/insects. The app also provides information on safe storage and pest management of grains during post-harvest storage.
