Applicants can also check subsidy amount, check availability of implements on portal
Under its Sub-mission on Agriculture Mechanization (SMAM), the Indian government is providing subsidies to the eligible beneficiaries for the purchase of agriculture machinery and implements. The Indian government’s department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare (DACFW) is giving the subsidy through the direct benefit transfer (DBT) by its mechanization and technology (MT) division.
To claim the DBT, the applicants have to register themselves on the https://agrimachinery.nic.in portal. After opening the portal, the applicants have to click on the ‘DIRECT BENEFIT TRANSFER IN AGRICULTURE MECHANIZATION’ tab, which has all the details about the scheme.
After opening the tab, the applicants have to click on the ‘REGISTRATION’ option that has a dropdown arrow on the navigation bar on the index page. Before doing the registration, the applicants are required to read the important Information shown in the popup window after clicking on ‘FARMER’ from the dropdown list of the index page.
Applicants have to select the implement and the location for which they want to apply for the DBT on the portal. Then then have to click on ‘CHECK AVAILABILITY’ which gives all implements with target available, scheme and other details.
Applicants can also check the amount to be received in subsidy by filling the details after clicking on the ‘SUBSIDY CALCULATOR’ tab. After submitting the application, they can track their case by going on the ‘TRACKING’ tab.
Applicants have to be careful while filling information in the DBT form, mentioning their personal details, village, district and state. On filing false information, the benefits may be denied.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR CLAIMING DBT
- Aadhar card: To identify the beneficiary.
- Passport size photo of Farmer.
- Record of Right (RoR) of land to be uploaded while adding land details.
- Copy of the first page of the bank pass book on which the details of the beneficiary are given.
- Copy of any ID Proof (Aadhar card/driving licence/voter ID card/PAN card/passport).
- Copy of caste category certificate in case of scheduled castes (SC)/ scheduled tribes (ST)/other backward classes (OBC).
