Rajpura recorded the highest rate of Pusa Basmati 1121 during Nov 15-21
During the week from November 15-21, the Pillu Khera mandi (grain market) in Jind district of Haryana reported the highest rate for basmati at Rs 4,195 per quintal on November 20, as per the data gathered from the government portal https://agmarknet.gov.in. The lowest rate for basmati was recorded at the Bankhedi mandi of Hoshangabad and Raisen mandi of Raisen district in Madhya Pradesh at Rs 1,800 per quintal on November 16 and 19 respectively.
During the week, the portal recorded mandi prices of different varieties of basmati from 45 districts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and MP.
The highest rate of Pusa Basmati 1121 was reported from the Rajpura mandi of Patiala district in Punjab on November 20 at Rs 4,035 per quintal. The lowest minimum rate of Pusa Basmati 1121 variety was recorded at Rs 1,380 per quintal in the Bina mandi of Sagar district of MP on November 16.
During the week, the early-maturing basmati variety Pusa Basmati 1509 fetched the highest maximum rate of Rs 4,050 per quintal on November 19 in the Shahabad mandi of Kurukshetra district in Haryana. The minimum rate of this variety in Shahabad was Rs 3,750 per quintal that day.
As per the portal data, the Sugandha variety of basmati fetched the highest maximum rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal in the Kosi Kalan mandi of Mathura district in UP on November 16. The Super Basmati variety was sold in the range of Rs 2,100-2,450 per quintal during the week in the Dadri mandi of Gautam Budh Nagar district of UP.
